How much does delivery cost and how long does it take?
Freight is calculated at checkout, based on the products in your order and your delivery location, so you can see the cost before you pay. We deliver NZ-wide through our trusted supplier networks.
Delivery times are estimates and can vary with supplier stock and your location, so they are a guide rather than a guarantee.

Orders are dispatched once payment in cleared funds is received. We aim to process orders promptly, though dispatch can depend on supplier stock. If anything will be delayed or is on backorder, we will let you know and can offer a suitable alternative or a refund on the affected items.

My order arrived damaged or with items missing. What should I do?
Please check your order as soon as it arrives. If anything is damaged, missing or not what you ordered, contact us in writing within seven days of delivery at info@safetydepot.co.nz with your order number and a photo if relevant, and we will put it right.

If Goods are faulty, not as described, or otherwise breach a guarantee that applies, we will meet our obligations at law, including under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 for consumers. Get in touch and we will arrange a repair, replacement or refund as appropriate.

We are not obliged to accept a change of mind return, but we may at our discretion. If we do, the Goods must be unused and in original, resaleable condition and packaging, and a restocking fee and freight may apply. Special order, non-stock, clearance, and made or sourced to order Goods cannot be returned for change of mind.

How do I pay, and are my card details safe?
Website orders are paid in full at the time of order. You can pay by Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards, and digital wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Your card details are completely safe. Payments are handled by Stripe, one of the world's largest and most trusted payment providers. When you pay, your card details go straight into Stripe's secure, encrypted system. They never pass through or get stored on our website. Stripe is certified to the highest level of payment security in the industry, PCI Service Provider Level 1, and is independently audited every year, so we never see or hold your full card number.

How do I open a trade account?
Apply through our trade account application form. We will run a credit assessment and let you know once your account is approved. Approval usually takes up to 4 business days, depending on the complexity of the application.

On an approved credit account, payment is due in full by the 20th of the month following the date of invoice, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Where the account holder is a company, trust or other entity, we may require one or more owners or directors to personally guarantee the account as a condition of credit. The guarantee is set out in full in our Terms of Trade.

Prices shown to the public on the website include GST. Prices quoted to trade and credit account customers exclude GST unless stated otherwise. The GST treatment that applies is always shown at the point of sale or on your quote.

Can I get a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for a product?
Yes. Safety Data Sheets are linked on the relevant product page. If you cannot find an SDS for a product and want to confirm it, contact us at info@safetydepot.co.nz and we will send it through. Please read and follow the manufacturer's instructions and any SDS before use.

What are my rights if something goes wrong?
If you are buying for personal, domestic or household use, you have the full protection of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, and nothing in our Terms limits those rights. Business customers buying in trade are covered by the terms agreed with us, where some of those consumer protections are excluded.
